I learned recently more about a phenomena aptly called “Weastern Thought”, the ofentimes vain attempt to transplant an Eastern worldview into a western cultural mindset. As I’ve observed it in myself it has at least three identifiable corollaries. (not to be confused with capillaries….or carotid arteries) They run something like this:
Corollary #1 – The farther away from home it is, the better it is, and the more likely something meaningful can happen.
Corollary #2 – If I don’t understand the statement or proposition, it must be deep!
Corollary #3 – If I can’t even pronounce the word, it must be an important one!
I pledge to remain on the lookout for the emergence on inner and outer spiritual horizons of any startling new such revolutionary corollaries. Your Self-Appointed Weastern World Correspondent, TB
